Cardiology Down
town hospital has been offering Cardiology services since 1989.It
has now started out as a super speciality service round the clock,
particularly in emergency department and ICCU.
The non-invasive cardiology laboratory has sophisticated procedures
like ECHO, Stress ECHO, Tread Mill test, Batter
monitoring, Computerised ECA and others.
Pacemaker implementation has been regularly carried out since
1989.All types of sophisticated permanent pacemakers, temporary
pacing and emergency bedside pacing has been regularly performed.
The Cardiology department has full time senior cardiology
consultants namely Dr.A.K.Barooah, former professor and HOD AMC,
Dibrugarh and GMC, Dr.P.K.Choudhury, Dr.N.K.Bhattaharjee.
